The George A. and Eliza Gardner Howard Foundation

Playwriting and Choreography

The Foundation will consider proposals from early midcareer authors, scholars, and choreographers working in any genre, style, and media that can be classified as Writing for Performance or Choreography.  In accordance with the fellowship program's overall goal of supporting early mid-career artists and scholars, applicants should have a record of a major publication, performance, or exhibition and demonstrate a promising program of creative development using Playwriting, Screenwriting, or other writing for performance; or Choreography as a mode of creative expression and experimentation.  Note that fellowship funds are intended mainly to support time for creative work; they do not underwrite costs of equipment, exhibitions, or publication.
